The Waiting Room
In the spring of 2017, I created a mock "waiting room" in a pedestrian tunnel near Schenley Park using chairs, potted plants, magazines, etc. and a tripod camera. I asked passers-by to take a seat, for as long as they wanted to, and talk to me about something that they were waiting for (in general or specific terms). What resulted: free-flowing conversations with 10+ strangers about their aspirations and anxieties, funny things that happened, and just their daily lives.
